The need for performance management technology outside of finance is significant. In most cases, the easiest opportunities for integrating other parts of the business with finance on CPM involve the annual budgeting activity and continuous planning processes. To expand on that, looking at working with departments such as human resources and operations on CPM initiatives is a great place to start. Then, depending on your industry, making a connection to the sales organization for planning around the forecast, pipeline and variable-compensation areas is also a great option.
