Adaptive Planning (AP)

Adaptive Planning is a cloud-based corporate performance management software (CPM) vendor headquartered in Mountain View, California.

Founded in 2003, the company focuses primarily on Software as a Service (SaaS) budgeting, planning and forecasting (BP&F), but also offers business intelligence (BI) and data visualization products. NetSuite Financial Planning is a white labeled version of Adaptive Planning software.

Adaptive Planning's BP&F tools are designed to resemble Microsoft Excel. The system's visual similarity to spreadsheets is intended to lessen the learning curve for new users.

More than 1,000 customers worldwide use Adaptive Planning software. While Adaptive Planning's CPM suite has historically been more popular among small and medium sized businesses (SMBs), the vendor has reported an increase in enterprise sales in recent years.
