ISO 20022

ISO 20022 is an ISO standard for developing financial services messages. The standard, which is fully described in a document called “ISO 20022 Financial Services – Universal Financial Industry Message Scheme,” is also known as UNIFI.

ISO20022 uses Unified Modeling Language (UML) to represent (model) business processes and financial transactions in a syntax-independent manner. It also provides a set of eXtensible Mark-up Language (XML) design rules to convert the representations into XML.
