Candidate experience is the reaction a job seeker has about an organization's job application process. 

When companies are seeking to recruit people with sought-after skills, candidate experience becomes a high priority for HR managers. Time-consuming, complicated and confusing submission processes will often make candidates frustrated. A well-designed recruitment site that reduces the time it takes for a candidate to apply for a position results in a more pleasant candidate experience. An applicant-tracking system (ATS) can also help improve the candidate experience by automating responses that go out at various stages of the application process.
