According to IDC Vice President and IT Executive Advisor Joe Pucciarelli, more than 50% of CIOs report to CFOs, either directly or on a dotted-line basis. In this video from the Boston IBM Finance Forum, held at the New England Aquarium, Steve Player, founder and managing partner of The Player Group and the event's keynote speaker, explains the role of a CFO when it comes to his or her organization's technology purchases. It's changing, he says, to include more governance. He also stresses the importance of maintaining a strong CFO-CIO relationship.
