Role of CFO is expanding in technology decisions

Today, the role of the chief financial officer (CFO) at many organizations is expanding to include a multitude of duties beyond crunching the numbers. For one, many CFOs are now playing a larger part in enterprise technology purchases. This is reflected by the fact that more than half of all chief information officers report to CFOs.
